A Medical Mystery

For an awareness campaign of the National Health Institute we created a pop-up Escape Room that we put in a big mall in Utrecht. The Escape Room taught visitors about the phenomena of Antibiotic resistance by putting players in the shoes of researchers who have to find the correct treatment for a patient.

6 Players could play the game every 15 minutes. To increase the exposure we added a stage where up to 25 people could watch the sick patient and listen with headphones to her story. The story would develop based on the progress of the players. Every 15 minutes the drama unfolded and people watched if the players in the laboratory managed to find a way to save the patient. This project was a collaboration together with Escape Rooms Nederland.
